MLQ Guild Meetings

The Maple Leaf Quilters' Guild is based in Rutland, Vermont.  Approximately 100 members create everything from traditional pieced quilts to art quilts, using techniques including, (but not limited to) delicate hand quilting, traditional piecing, dramatic machine quilting, precise applique, paper piecing and modern quilting.

The Maple Leaf Quilters meet on the 3rd Tuesday of most months at Christ the King Church parish hall located at 66 South Main Street (Rte 7) in Rutland.  Please note the One Way streets!  Turn at the light on the north side of the church, (Killington Ave).  Staying on that street, take your first right street, and then right again to bring you to the church parking lot.  Enter the downstairs door nearest Route 7.  You will be at the lowest level of the church.

Maple Leaf Quilters has a variety of Programs:  educational, community service oriented and fun!

We meet in  September, October, November, February, March, April and May.  Our meetings usually feature a guest speaker.  One Fall and one Spring speaker holds a full day workshop on the day following the Guild meeting.  Every other year we have an Auction of Quilt items and yearly we do hold a Potluck.

January is community service month, with a Saturday meeting to stitch and create a quilt to donate to a local organization to use in their fundraising efforts.

Even years are Quilt show and Raffle Quilt time.  They are our primary source of funding.

Odd years we often hold an auction in March...members donate items and often go home with an equal number of "new" treasures.
