The Maple Leaf Quilters' Guild was formed by our charter members in 1981 to encourage the art of quilting in the Rutland area.

Approximately 80 - 100 members create everything from traditional pieced quilts to art quilts, using techniques including, but not limited to, delicate hand quilting, dramatic machine quilting, precise applique, paper piecing and modern quilting.

Since 1989, the Guild has been actively involved in community service projects.  Members annually make a community service quilt which is given to a designated organization for their use in fundraising activities.

Other Community Service includes our Comfort Blankets, our Support of the NewStory Center, and Community blocks that have made some donation quilts and Quilts of Valor.
